GJG is delighted to announce 'Her Unlocked Suitcase', the inaugural solo exhibition in Asia by our represented artist, Jenya Datsko. The exhibition is presented by The Corridor Foundation and the 11 Contemporary Art Center, and marks a significant moment in Datsko's evolving practice.
The exhibition features works from 2024-2025, alongside a new series created especially for the occasion. Through the metaphor of the 'unlocked suitcase', Datsko explores female survival strategies and creative practices within liminal spaces, reflecting on how individuals renegotiate their relationships with themselves and the world at the shifting intersections of time, space and identity.
Rather than focusing on arrival or resolution, 'Her Unlocked Suitcase' centres on the experience of transition. The image of the 'unlocked latch' suggests that belonging can emerge from openness - from the fluid, unfinished moments that invite us to reimagine our place in the world.
