Directorship Handover

After many years working together to champion the best of Art by Women, Millie Jason Foster will become the new Managing Director of Gillian Jason Gallery, as Elli Jason Foster enters her next chapter in the Art World. Over the last five years, Elli and Millie have re-established GJG in Fitzrovia, Central London, as a space to promote and incubate artist's careers. Today, the Gallery has provided a platform for more than 75 female-identifying artists to exhibit their work and make each unique voice heard. GJG has connected artists and collectors across continents, from the Americas and Europe to Hong Kong, Nigeria, South Africa, Australia and beyond. Most recently, the Gallery was proud to collaborate with Tate Britain to support 'Women in Revolt!' the first all female group exhibition at the institution.

A few words from Elli Jason Foster: "After five exciting years working at the Gillian Jason Gallery with my mother, Gillian, and my daughter, Millie it is now time for me to relinquish the reins to the next generation. I feel very lucky to have been part of a really exciting family business and subsequent growth period at Gillian Jason Gallery. I have always loved working in the art world and I am looking forward to another challenge within it. I would like to say a big thank you to clients and artists alike for all their continued support and warmth towards the GJG endeavour."

Now, Millie's vision to continue her family's female legacy will strive towards promoting equal representation for diverse voices in the market. For Millie, the next part of GJG's journey has three pillars: reaching more international collectors, supporting all levels of the best of Art by Women from emerging careers to established estates, and continuing collaborations with leading museums and institutions.
