GJG is delighted to announce representation of painter Jess Cochrane. The London-based Australian artist has developed a distinctive practice that merges contemporary realism with a cinematic sensibility, creating figurative oil paintings that are both intimate and socially reflective. Her work captures moments from everyday life, exploring themes of consumerism, pop culture, and fashion through scenes that feel both familiar and charged with cultural significance.
Cochrane held her debut solo exhibition It 'Won't Last Forever' with the gallery in 2024 and was subsequently featured in GJG's presentation at Future Fair New York 2025, where her work was profiled in The Wall Street Journal.
GJG will showcase a new body of work by Jess Cochrane at Untitled Art, Miami Beach. Continuing her exploration of femininity and image-making through contemporary technology, Cochrane blends digital and traditional mediums, combining photography, digital manipulation, and expressive paintwork to question constructed ideals of beauty in the digital age.
