Pippa El-Kadhi Brown’s work inhabits a liminal space between the real and the imagined, pulsing with an inherent energy. "My paintings are restless. Volcanic in nature, they gurgle, swell, and spit things up from beneath." This catharsis of form and sensation reflects the artist’s ongoing exploration of the human psyche, childhood memories, and dreamlike states. Through her chimeric, often surreal, abstract compositions, El-Kadhi Brown invites the viewer into environments where bodies, spaces, and perspectives shift with fluidity, always in motion, always becoming.

“Resisting stability, they function as portals: jungly, bodily, shapeshifting environments that feel both familiar and otherworldly." El-Kadhi Brown’s dreamscapes collapse multiple realms of experience - textures from vintage video games, the softness of faded fabrics, the elusive movement of air - into one another. These fragments form fleshy landscapes, often marked by a sense of humour, irony, and a nostalgia that hovers just out of reach. The boundaries between the organic and the imagined clash, as forms appear, dissolve, and reform with a restless rhythm.
