Mavi Ustun's paintings explore the loneliness of the individual in daily life trying to shape it to suit the norms of contemporary society. Through her picturesque scenarios of daily life the artist confronts us with the personal stories of her fragile, perturbed, melancholic heroes and heroines, who try to fight back against their bleak existential condition.
